Don't lie

My mother-in-law died on February 15th, Valentine’s day. She lived a long (97 years!) and exceedingly healthy life.

She also demeaned, ridiculed, and bullied my husband, myself, and our two kids as much and as often as possible. After putting up with it for over a decade, I finally developed some sense and completely cut her off.

I occasionally hear people say, “don’t speak ill of the dead”.  I suggest that this phrase, Don’t lie about the dead, is far more likely to lead to emotional health for the living. Since her death, some of her more toxic comments have come back to me. The above photo is of her doing her best to shatter my kids' dreams. Here is what she said to them: "“Now children, whatever you want to do in life, I’m sure that you won’t succeed.”

CHERYL'S MEDICAL MIRACLES #2

Do people find you offensive?

Do you have problems blurting out inappropriate questions such as “Have you always smelled like a dead rat?”

Rub just two drops of our serum on your lips each morning and watch your problems disappear! Make this a daily ritual and instead of hearing yourself say the usual “Your eyes have always reminded me of pickled herring”, you’ll be surprised when, “My, what a lovely outfit” comes out of your mouth.

Warning: Side effects include diarrhea, swelling of the lips combined with an and inability to breathe, which has led to death in only a few cases.
