First full-sized sketch

Each new relief sculpture that I make starts with an interview. When I recently interviewed Kim Stubbs, she told me the story of giving birth to her stillborn baby, Gregory. We both cried. The sculpture that I make her will be of an orange leaf, which represents what Kim learned from this especially hard time in her life. As the sculpture progresses, you’ll learn more about Kim’s story.
